United Way of Coastal Carolina is excited to announce the kickoff of our 60th Anniversary Campaign and Morehead City has joined in the campaign for Health, Education, and Financial Stability of every person in every community. 180 city employees will have the chance to better their local community through a payroll deduction campaign.
United Way of Coastal Carolina Executive Director Sandra Phelps stated, “We would like to thank Mayor Jerry Jones for facilitating a United Way presentation to City Manager David Whitlow and the City Department Heads, this action allowed us to share what we have and will accomplish in Morehead City and Carteret County.”
For the 2016-17 funding year, the United Way of Coastal Carolina will provide $50,000 to fund programs located in Carteret County. These funds are made possible through employee payroll deduction campaigns, individual donations, and grants.
