Join United Way of Coastal Carolina in an opportunity to give back to the community through a day of helping out various nonprofits throughout Carteret, Craven, Jones & Pamlico Counties.  Following a Kick-Off Breakfast at the United Way office, teams will volunteer across the area to complete much needed tasks such as painting, cleaning, landscaping, gardening and general repairs.

Description: Badge in a Box: volunteers will put together a box of Girl Scout activities for girls to complete and achieve enclosed badge. These boxes are sent to girls who have very limited access to Girl Scouts opportunities and include contact/registration information on joining Girl Scouts. Boxes will be distributed at local homeless shelters to reach a population of girls that do not typically have access to Girl Scouts.

Description: RLM is in need of supplies for their ladies and men’s houses. Cleaning supplies such as Clorox and Windex, paper-towels, toilet-paper, “HE” laundry detergent. They are also seeking donated laptops for participants to us to search for job openings and to complete job applications. 
 

*Day of caring will begin on September 22nd and the service projects that can be completed on that day will take place at the site from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Other dates can be arranged and collection of supplies can continue throughout the 2015 campaign, which will wrap up December 15th.
