Toyota of New Bern is donating a 2009 Toyota Corolla to benefit the United Way of Coastal Carolina. To qualify for the giveaway, simply pledge at least $100 through your employee campaign or make a minimum annual donation of at least $100 to United Way of Coastal Carolina along with a signed entry form. Entry forms can be picked up at Toyota of New Bern on Hwy 70 or United Way at 601 Broad Street, New Bern, NC 28560. (You must have a valid driver’s license to enter). There will be 10 Finalists from the weekly drawings who will select a key. One of those 10 keys will start the 2009 Toyota Corolla. Formerly known as Strike it Rich, we are confident that our new format & new name will excite fishermen from all over the eastern seaboard! We kick-off the Captains Meeting and Party on Wednesday evening with fun, food, music and fellowship! Fireworks are planned for Friday with the Awards Ceremony closing the event on Saturday evening. Following the tournament you & your family will have Sunday & Monday to relax & enjoy the beautiful Crystal Coast!

8/16/08 | United Way Faces Challenge
Given a slumping economy, the United Way of Coastal Carolina could be forgiven for lowering its expectations. Characteristically, however, it has chosen to do nothing of the sort. The organization has a history of setting ambitious goals, and surpassing them. This year is no different. The United Way hopes to raise $750,000 this year. The money raised through corporate, individual and workplace giving will help people who are struggling in our community.
