Please read the following information carefully before registering for the 2018 Beach Volleyball Tournament. Our format has changed slightly to accommodate different levels of play.
United Way of Coastal Carolina announces that the Third Annual Crystal Coast Beach Volleyball Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at The Atlantic Beach Circle Sand Volleyball Courts! Team entry fee will be $100 and sponsorships are available for $300. Expanded field and awesome goodie bags!
When:Saturday, September 29, 2018 with check-in between 8:15-8:45am. Player meeting at 8:45 am. Matches begin at 9 am.

4x4 Competitive Coed - Two males and two females on the court. Rules will be primarily as per USAV beach rules with any exceptions explained at the player meeting for the event. This division is meant to provide a more competitive event for players at the intermediate level and above. Matches in this division will be self-refereed. Players are expected call their own faults with integrity in the beach volleyball tradition. Although another team in your pool will assist to keep score and help with making judgement calls for lines or illegal contacts, the primary burden to call a fault lies with the player that committed the fault.
6x6 Intermediate/Beginner - You're looking to have some fun, but some of your players are still trying to perfect their beach sets and jump serves! This division plays it a little loosely, using rules similar to indoor volleyball - just played on the sand. Refs will be provided for this division to help you out and will use their discretion to call faults at a level that keeps things safe and fun by adjusting a little to match the overall capabilities of the players. Teams in this division require a minimum of 4 players (but you can, of course, play with up to 6 on the court), and can be co-ed or all male or all female.
For both divisions:
You may have additional players on your roster who can rotate in during play.
Players need to be 13 yrs or older.
The planned format is for pool play followed by top teams from each pool advancing to a single elimination playoff round. However, the tournament director reserves the option to adjust the format of play to fit the conditions of the day and the number of teams present, if necessary.
All players must sign a liability waiver. Minors (under age 18) will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to be able to play.
